Agricultural sector seminar starts from eastern region

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry is organizing regional seminars of specialists and workers of Food and Agriculture Departments of aimags and the capital city, veterinary hospitals of soums.
The event commenced with an eastern regional seminar in Sukhbaatar aimag on August 3, at which the Minister B.Batzorig introduced about the Ministry’s decisions and measures taking in the sector and provided an assignment to work at heightened level to prepare for wintering.
According to the government resolution ‘Some actions to satisfy 2018-2019 wintering and spring preparations in agricultural sector’, the Minister issued a recommendation addressing overall agricultural and veterinary organizations and herdsmen. Adhering to the recommendation, Sukhbaatar aimag’s Governor Office organized a discussion with the aimag’s food and agriculture specialists, governors of soum and bagh /the smallest administrative unit/ and herders, resulted in issuing an action of plan for wintering preparation. Pursuant to it, it was decided to not prepare hay for export purpose in order to have adequate hay reserve.
Central regional seminar of the agricultural sector will commence on August 9-10 in Uvurkhangai aimag, the seminar for Khangai region –on August 16-17 in Umnugobi aimag, and Western regional seminar -- on August 23-24 in Uvs aimag.
