Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On April 16, today, D.Nyamkhuu, Director of National Center of Communicable Diseases (NCCD) announced one new confirmed case of COVID-19 in Mongolia, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 31, at daily press briefing of the Ministry of Health.

‘The Lock with a Password’ locked and opened by names of the local area
‘The Lock with a Password’, a work by one of the famous Dariganga craftsmen Dondov Sharav, is currently being kept at the Ethnography Museum of Sukhbaatar. It is considered as one of the rare exhibits of the museum as the lock is locked and opened by the names of the local area.

School closures extended until September 1
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The State Emergency Commission (SEC) today convened a meeting and decided to extend closures of all schools, universities and educational institutions until September 1. Therefore, all schools will remain closed for the rest of this academic year only to reopen on September 1, 2020 for the next school year.

Parliament Speaker introduces more economic relief measures amid COVID-19
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On April 9, the Parliament backed a resolution on a package of seven measures to protect the health and income of people, preserve employment and stimulate the economy during the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to the approved measures, Parliament Speaker G.Zandanshatar announced another several measures aimed at ensuring financial and economic stability, preventing risks and making digital transition.

17th imported Covid-19 case recorded in Mongolia
At today’s daily briefing of the Ministry of Health, Director of the National Center of Communicable Diseases (NCCD) D.Nyamkhuu reported that one of the 20 people who were quarantined at NCCD on April 12, after evacuation from Russia, tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mongolia to 17.
