One new coronavirus case confirmed in Mongolia, total number stands at 11
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At today’s daily press conference of the Ministry of Health on the situations surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, D.Nyamkhuu, Director of the National Center of Communicable Diseases (NCCD) announced that another one person, who is staying under mandatory isolation after arriving in Mongolia on a charter flight from Istanbul Turkey last week, was tested positive for the coronavirus.

At its meeting on March 25, Cabinet made a resolution to put the integrated electronic land management system into the use of relevant government organizations.

Political parties and coalitions submit platforms for upcoming election
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The 2020 Parliamentary Election is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. In accordance with the law on Parliamentary elections, political parties and coalitions willing to participate in the legislative election were required to submit their action platforms to the Mongolian National Audit Office (MNAP) before March 25, 2020.

E.Enkhtur: It was a calling for us to make the song
Leader of the Mongolian band FREEZONE, foremost cultural worker of Mongolia E.Enkhtur created a song named ‘To Live or Not To Live’ to demonstrate Mongolians’ call for joint efforts against the novel coronavirus spreading across the globe. Around 40 people from various walks of life starred in the song’s music video dropping soon.

United States providing assistance to support Mongolia's COVID-19 response
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Mongolia Michael S. Klecheski today, March 24, announced during a press conference of the Ministry of Health that the U.S. government through the U.S. Agency for International Development is providing more than MNT 3.3 billion or USD 1.2 million to the World Health Organization (USD 700 thousand) and the United Nations Children's Fund (USD 500 thousand) to support the Mongolian government’s COVID-19 response.

Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the State Emergency Commission U.Enkhtuvshin reported that the Cabinet resolved at its irregular meeting held on March 22  to temporarily close Tsagaannuur and Altanbulag border checkpoints, not allowing any citizen to across them.

As of today, 1,734 citizens are being isolated at 21 locations nationwide. Based on the requests and suggestions put forth by the isolated citizens, a decision has been made to allow visits by families and relatives once in 14 days, reports the operative team of the State Emergency Commission.
