Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai will participate in the sixteenth session of the Conference to the Parties (COP16) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), which will be held in Riyadh, the capital city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on December 2-13, 2024. The Premier is on a working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates between December 1-9, 2024.

Mongolia and Australia Enter into Negotiations on Social Security Agreement

New Electricity Tariffs Set
The Energy Regulatory Commission is set to increase electricity tariffs from November 15, 2024. The Energy Regulatory Commission has announced that the average electricity tariff will be raised from MNT 216 per kWh to MNT 280. The changes were made in a way to not overburden households financially and encourage them to monitor their energy consumption and save energy.

E-Visa Issuance to Visit Mongolia Increases Threefold
Since 2021, over 700 thousand foreigners have been issued visas to visit Mongolia through an electronic visa system. Specifically, in the first 10 months of this year, a total of 84744 overseas citizens were issued e-visas in four categories, which means 3.2-fold higher compared to the same period last year.
