Mongolian judokas win 3 silver and 5 bronze medals in China
Mongolian team of judokas received 3 silver and 5 bronze medals from the Hohhot Grand Prix, which was held during the last weekend in Hohhot city, China. The Hohhot Grand Prix 2017 was attended by wrestlers from 26 foreign countries and 18 countries of them secured medals of different colors. Japan’s judoka team led in 5 weight categories, whereas Russian and South Korean wrestlers headed in two categories. Also, judo teams of China, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and Czech, Canada and Austria returned their homelands in one triumph each.
22 young officials to study in Japan under JDS program 2017
On June 29, B.Choijilsuren, Minister of Finance and Masato Takaoka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia signed the intergovernmental exchange on “Japanese Grant Aid for human Resources Development Scholarship (JDS). In the framework of the project, 22 Mongolian young officers will be granted with JDS scholarship to study in master and doctoral programs in Japan this year.

First woman in space Valentina Tereshkova to visit Mongolia
The first women to travel into space is Soviet-born V.V.Tereshkova who is also Russia's first female general and cosmonaut, engineer and politician. She was selected from more than 400 applicants and five finalists to pilot Vostok 6, on June 16, 1963. Mongolian parliament member L.Bold met with her on June 23, during his visit to Russia at the invitation of V.V.Tereshkova, member of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
Medical officers from Montana, US work in Khuvsgul aimag
General hospital of Khuvsgul aimag has been widening its foreign relations and cooperating with Japan, Korea, US and Russia. Recently, the BioRegion team of the Montana State University has worked in Khuvsgul aimag to conduct a two-day sandwich course focusing on maternal health care, neonatal health, water consumption and diseases caused by drinking water.
Powdered milk factory opens in Khuvsgul aimag
In the scope of the first campaign of meat and milk, standard portable facility of dried milk has put into operation in Ikh-Uul soum of Khuvsgul aimag. It aims to create opportunities to take full advantage of agricultural resources, manufacture value added products and constantly supply raw materials and products which meet international standards for exports. The dried milk facility has a capacity to manufacture 80 liter liquid milk in an hour.

Ts.Munkh-Orgil, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia received delegates led by Laima Liucija Andrikiene, Vice Chair of the Delegation to the EU-Kazakhstan, EU-Kyrgyzstan, EU-Uzbekistan and EU-Tajikstan Parliamentary Cooperation Committees and for relations with Turkmenistan and Mongolia, of the European Parliament on June 23. Laima Liucija Andrikiene is included in the observer team of the Presidential election of Mongolia from the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe, heading the European Parliament delegates.
Transport companies in Bayan-Ulgii renew bus garage
Companies, engaged in intercity transportation services have updated their bus garage with 36 buses of DAEWOO and AERO models. The ‘Gazriin od’ and ‘Tsengel trans’ transport companies with special licenses to serve operations between Ulaanbaatar and Bayan-Ulgii aimag have been serving in Russia's PAZ-3206 and PAZ-4234 buses up until now. According to the Bayan-Ulgii branch of the National Road Transport Center, 1195 citizens of Bayan-Ulgii have traveled by inter-city buses between Ulaanbaatar and Bayan-Ulgii in the first 6 months of 2017.
