Five greenhouses established in Gobi-Altai aimag through TIKA project

Gobi-Altai /MONTSAME/. With funding from the Turkish International Cooperation Agency, five new greenhouses have been established with irrigation systems in Tsogt soum, Gobi-Altai aimag.
TIKA's Ulaanbaatar Program Vice Coordinator Sibel Güneği and managers T.Mandkhai and K.Serkbol worked in the aimag to hand over the greenhouses to local authorities and representatives of citizens. “The implementation of the project creates the condition to provide our citizens with quality, healthy vegetables and fruits locally,” highlighted the Governor’s Office of Gobi-Altai aimag.
Due to the high number of sunny days in the Altai Mountains region, Tsogt soum is located in a strategically important region for farming as it is possible to develop greenhouse farming and provide citizens with organic vegetables grown in the area.
