Mongolian woman reaches seven summits

The State Honored Sportswoman, mountain climber Ms Gangaamaa Badamgarav became one of the 416 Seven Summiteers from around the world.

With her latest successful climb at Mount Vinson Massif, the highest peak of Antarctica, she became the first Mongolian Seven Summiteer.

The Seven Summits are the highest peaks in seven continents.

In 2010, Ms Gangaamaa reached the peak of the Mount Elbrus (5642m) in Russia, the highest peak in Europe. 

In 2011, she conquered Mount Everest (8848m), the highest peak in Asia and in the world and became the first Mongolian woman to step on this mountain.

In 2012, she successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro (5895m), the highest peak in Africa.

In 2015, she reached the peak of Mount Denali (6190m), the highest mountain in North America.

In January 2016, she conquered Aconcagua (6962m), the highest peak in South America.

In July, 2016, she reached Carstensz Pyramid (4884m), the highest peak of the Oceania.
