Sodnompiljee Wins Third Gold at Asia-Oceania Championships

Ulaanbaatar, April 12, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Hero of Labor and State Honored Athlete Sodnompiljee Enkhbayar won the gold medal at the 2026 Asia-Oceania Para Powerlifting Championships, held in Bangkok, Thailand.

More than 100 athletes from around 20 countries are competing in the tournament. Representing Mongolia, five athletes participated under the guidance of State Honored Coach Battulga D.

In the 107 kg weight category, he lifted 236 kg in the bench press, earning his fourth medal at this competition. With this achievement, he now holds a total of three gold medals and one bronze from the Asian and Oceania Championships.
