Mongolian Female Athletes Secure Five Medals

Ulaanbaatar, April 12, 2026 /MONTSAME/. At the 2026 Asian Wrestling Championships held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, the women’s freestyle wrestling team of Mongolia won a total of five medals: one gold, one silver, and three bronze.
Specifically, International Master of Sports Davaanasan Enkh-Amar won gold in the 76 kg category, Khulan Batkhuyag took silver in the 57 kg category, while Ariunzaya Odonchimeg (55 kg), State Honored Athlete Tserenchimed Sukhee (62 kg), and International Master of Sports Delgermaa Enkhsaikhan (68 kg) each earned bronze medals.
Additionally, International Master of Sports Bolortuya Khurelkhuu (59 kg) and Odgerel Erdene-Ochir (72 kg) placed fifth in their respective weight classes.
In the team standings for women’s freestyle wrestling at the Asian Championships, China finished first, Japan came second, and Mongolia placed third, earning the bronze medal.
