Speaker Byambatsogt Meets Governor of Bank of Mongolia

April 7, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Speaker of the State Great Khural (Parliament) Byambatsogt Sandag met with the Governor of the Bank of Mongolia, Narantsogt Sanjaa, on April 6 to discuss foreign and domestic economic conditions, inflation, price increases, foreign exchange reserves, and other current issues.
At the outset of
the meeting, Governor Narantsogt briefed on the negative impacts of the Middle
East conflict and the current situation. In addition, he stated that the Bank
of Mongolia is taking timely measures in line with relevant laws and providing
transparent information to the public to protect national foreign exchange
reserves and ensure currency stability.
Speaker Byambatsogt
mentioned that global economic and political complications have started to
affect our country’s society and economy. It was agreed that in such a critical
time, the Bank of Mongolia would regularly provide updates and policy
recommendations on the measures it plans to implement going forward.
