Alexandrov Ensemble of the Russian Army Performs at Sukhbaatar Square

Ulaanbaatar, September 4, 2024 /MONTSAME/.  On September 3, 2024, the Military Song and Dance Academic Ensemble of Mongolia and the Alexandrov Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army performed a joint concert at Sukhbaatar Square. The concert was dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Victory in the Battle of Khalkhiin Gol.


The Alexandrov Ensemble is renowned for its tradition of performing songs in the native language of the countries visited. This time, the Ensemble performed the Mongolian Military Ensemble’s famous piece “Khalkh Goliin Ugluu” (Morning of Khalkh Gol) in Russian and “Ijiidee Gantshan Sharga” ( Only Yellow Horse in its Herd) in Mongolian as a tribute to the people of Mongolia. 


The famous Alexandrov Ensemble, which has performed in over 70 countries worldwide, previously held an honorary concert in Ulaanbaatar on August 27-28, 2019, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Battle of Khalkhiin Gol.
