Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia Meets World Bank Country Manager for Mongolia

/MONTSAME/. Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia Dorjkhand Togmid met the
World Bank Country Manager for Mongolia Taehyun Lee on August 27, 2024.
At the meeting, the Deputy Prime
Minister expressed gratitude to the World Bank, a reliable partner and
supporter of Mongolia. Mr. Dorjkhand Togmid informed the Country
Manager that the main objectives of the Parliament and the coalition
government, established following the recent constitutional amendments, are to
advance long-stalled major projects and initiate economic reforms.
The World Bank Country Manager
expressed deep appreciation for the appointment of the Deputy Prime Minister as
the head of the subcommittee responsible for investments in the energy
sector and tariff reforms. The
parties discussed the World Bank’s ongoing investment projects and
technical assistance in the energy sector, emphasizing close cooperation with the subcommittee.
Additionally, the Country Manager
conveyed the World Bank’s readiness to provide technical assistance within
the Deputy Prime Minister's scope of responsibilities to create a favorable
environment for business, trade, and investment.
