Mongolian Athlete Wins Five Gold Medals at Asian Taekwondo Championship

Ulaanbaatar, August 27, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Senior Sergeant Ts. Delgertsetseg, a rescue chemist from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), participated in the 10th Asian Taekwon-Do Championships held in Bengaluru, India from August 20-25, 2024. Delgertsetseg competed in two individual and three team categories, winning a total of five gold medals.


Ms. Delgertsetseg previously won a gold medal in the board-breaking category at the 9th Asian Taekwon-Do Championships in 2018. This time, she also claimed the gold medal in the board-breaking category, becoming a two-time Asian champion.


According to NEMA, the Mongolian team, consisting of 40 members, participated in the championship and secured second place overall with a total of 47 medals—25 gold, 7 silver, and 15 bronze.
