President Khurelsukh Receives Vietnam's National Assembly Chairman

Ulaanbaatar, November 4, 2023 /MONTSAME. President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa received Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue on November 3, 2023.
President Khurelsukh expressed his delight in paying a State Visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the eve of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Vietnam.
President Khurelsukh underscored that Mongolia considers Vietnam its important partner in Southeast Asia and that the two countries share deep ties in history, spirituality, heritage, culture, and traditions and have maintained friendly and close relations.
Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue noted that traditional friendly relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Vietnam have deepened consistently since the two countries established diplomatic relations. He also stated that the Mongolian and Vietnamese peoples have a long tradition of supporting each other in difficult times.
Recognizing the solid foundation of bilateral relations forged by successive leaders of the two countries, which has withstood the test of time and continues to grow and strengthen, the two sides concurred that it is time to elevate strong relations between the two countries to a Comprehensive Partnership.
The two parties underlined that cooperation between the highest legislative bodies of the two countries plays a vital role in strengthening political relations and creating a legal framework for relations. The two sides affirmed commitment to supporting inter-parliamentary cooperation in all ways, enhancing exchanges between the Parliamentary Friendship Groups and the Offices of the President, and expanding bilateral cooperation.
