Chairman of State Great Khural receives Member of House of Representatives of Japanese Parliament

Great Khural (Parliament) G. Zandanshatar received a delegation headed by
Moto Hayashi, member of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament
and Chairman of the Japan-Mongolia Parliamentary Friendship Group.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr.Zandanshatar
congratulated distinguished guests on the 50th anniversary of the establishment
of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan, which is being celebrated throughout
this year, and warmly congratulated Moto Hayashi on being awarded the Order of
the Red Banner of Labor of Mongolia for his valuable contribution to the
development of relations between the two countries.
“The deepening of friendly relations and cooperation with
Japan is one of the priorities of our country’s foreign policy, and the State
Great Khural of Mongolia also attaches great importance to this,” noted Mr.
Zandanshatar, expressing satisfaction with the regularization of high-level
bilateral meetings and the expansion of relations between the two countries in
all aspects.
Mr.Moto Hayashi, in turn, said that as part of the
celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic
relations between the two countries, a large delegation of 86 people from
different sectors arrived in Mongolia, including representatives of culture,
arts and 9 members of parliament and government of Japan.
Expressing his commitment to the development of friendly
relations between Japan and Mongolia, Mr. Moto Hayashi said, “I hope that our
visit will be an impetus to the intensification of inter-parliamentary relations,
particularly the development of sports and cultural ties, and we will work to
develop friendly relations between the people of the two countries.” He
extended an invitation to the Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament to visit
Japan at the invitation President of the House of Representatives.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries in the public and private sectors, as well as in the regional and international arenas.
