Presidents of Mongolia and the United States exchanged congratulatory letters

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the United States falls on January 27, 2022. On the occasion of the anniversary, President of Mongolia L.Khurelsukh and President of the United States Joe Biden exchanged letters of congratulations.
“Thirty-five
years may seem a short period of time, nonetheless, the active relations and
cooperation between the two countries have been developed based on the same
values such as democracy, human rights, freedom, the rule of law, transparency and
openness, and upgraded to the level of strategic partnership as a result of the
joint efforts. The US is an important third neighbor of Mongolia. I am pleased to work
together closely to further strengthen close partnership, which has reached the
level of a strategic partnership,” noted U.Khurelsukh in his greetings.

Biden marked in his greeting “The U.S is very proud to be Mongolia’s strategic
partner and third-neighbor. We are committed to supporting Mongolia’s efforts to strengthen its democratic institution, uphold the rule of law, and diversify the economy. The US considers Mongolia as an
important partner in fighting against the climate change, strengthen global health
security, widespread use of renewable energy, and ensuring sustainable and equitable
economic growth.”
In the framework of 35th anniversary of the
establishment of diplomatic relations, which will be commemorated throughout the
year, the mutual visits are planned to be organized.
