Eighth Mongolian athlete qualifies for Tokyo Paralympics

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Judo wrestler A.Munkhbat has become the 8thathlete to qualify for the 2020 Summer Paralympics from Mongolia.

 

The International Paralympic Committee confirmed the qualification of the athlete who won gold in 66kg at the 2019 World Blind Games. A.Munkhbat currently ranks 7th in the world rankings in his weight class.  

 

As of July 4, 8 Mongolian athletes have qualified for the Tokyo Paralympics to take place from August 24 to September 5. Specifically, G.Bolor-Erdene and Kh.Enkhtuya will compete in taekwondo, E.Sodnompiljee in powerlifting, Z.Ganbaatar in shooting, N.Munkhbaatar in archery, D.Saruultugs and P.Enkhmanlai in athletics, and A.Munkhbat in judo.
