Mongolian athletes win 30 quotas for Tokyo Olympics
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ As of May 12, athletes of Mongolian national team have earned 30 quota places for the Tokyo Summer Olympics. In particular, State Honored Athlete E.Bekhbayar qualified for the Olympics in men's free-style wrestling event at the World Olympic Games Qualifier that took place on May 7, in Sofia, Bulgaria while IM Kh.Bolortuya qualified for the Olympics in women’s 62 kg weight category, making it available for female wrestlers to compete in the Summer Olympics with a full team.
For the Tokyo
Paralympics, the World Para Athletics officially announced on May 6 that
Mongolian para-athletics athletes Ts.Enkhmanlai and D.Saruul have qualified for
the Tokyo Paralympic Games. As a result, Mongolian athletes have won seven
quotas for the Paralympics.
Olympic and Paralympic
qualification tournaments are ongoing these days. The Games of
the XXXII Olympiad (Tokyo Olympics) will be held from July 23 until
August 8, followed by the XVI Paralympic Games from August 24 to
September 5.
