128 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Ulaanbaatar city

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At 11 a.m., March 14, the Ministry of Health provided updates on coronavirus situation in Mongolia.


According to the Ministry, 128 people were detected with coronavirus after involving 17,894 people in PCR testing nationwide in the past 24 hours.


Of the cases, 127 were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city and one person, who arrived on a charter flight from Budapest on March 4, was tested positive by repeated test. Thus, the number of imported cases of COVID-19 has reached 423.  


122 of the confirmed cases were close contacts of the previously confirmed cases while surveillance work is underway to define infection sources for 5 people.


Mongolia now has a total of 3,961 confirmed cases of COVID-19. 46 people have been discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of recovered people at 3,001.


Currently, 943 people are under treatment at the National Center for Communicable Diseases, Military Central Hospital, Capital City Maternal and Child Health Center and general hospitals of Zavkhan and Tuv aimags. 2 of them are in very critical, 6 are in critical, 63 are in serious and 872 are in mild health condition.
