International Youth Green Games sports complex to open next year

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On September 22, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, Acting Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar J.Batbayasgalan, Chief of the Physical Culture and Sports Authority Ts.Sharavjamts, and other officials visited the 2021 International Youth Green Games sports complex under construction.


Ulaanbaatar Sport Management company is implementing the sports complex project. MNT 9.6 billion has been earmarked in the state budget for the sports complex construction and organization of the International Youth Green Games to be hosted by Mongolia in 2021. The construction of a world standard football field has been completed and a swimming pool and a hockey pitch are currently under construction with private sector funding. The complex will have over 1,000 seats and changing rooms for participating teams.


Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh appreciated the successful implementation of the project being carried out through public private partnership and expressed the government's readiness to support if they face problems.
