Phase II of JICA project on veterinary sector to be implemented

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On September 2, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Z.Mendsaikhan received delegates led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Kobayashi Hiroyuki.
The sides exchanged views on the project, ‘Formulation of master plan on the agricultural value chain’ to be jointly implemented with the Japan International Cooperation Agency from 2020, and Phase II of the project on strengthening the capacity of veterinarians at state- and private-owned institutions.
They also came to the decision to partner in increasing income of local herders and processing of leather and hide in the framework of the Grassroots Projects program.
