Prime Minister visits kindergartens and schools

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On the occasion of new academic year, Prime Minister U. Khurelsukh visited general education school No: 147 and Sanatorium Kindergarten and Nursery Complex No: 10 for Children with Disabilities in Bayanzurkh district of the capital city. Minister of Education and Science L.Tsedevsuren, Social Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister Ya.Tumurbaatar and Acting Governor of the capital city J.Batbayasgalan accompanied the Prime Minister.


Today, 1,475 preschools, 834 general education schools and 93 universities and colleges have started their classroom and online activities with attendance of over one million and forty thousand students in total.

The school No:147, which was built with a non-refundable aid of Chinese government, has started its new academic year with 89 teachers, 22 staff members and 1,135 children. As the school is newly commissioned this year, the workload of six schools of

Bayanzurkh district has been reduced and children’s accessibility to education has improved.


Sanatorium Kindergarten and Nursery Complex No: 10 for Children with Disabilities was first established in 1964 under the Ministry of Health. The complex’s new building, which meets the international standards for children’s rehabilitation services, has been built with MNT 5.3 billion. It was put into operation in June this year. It increases involvement of children with disabilities in educational activities, rehabilitation treatment and social welfare service.
