MNOC President becomes acquainted with winter sports palace construction work

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On August 28, President of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee N.Tuvshinbayar became acquainted with the construction work progress of the ‘Steppa Arena’ Winter Sports Palace being built in Khan-Uul district.
As the ‘Steppa Arena’ company is working to commission the winter sports palace in October this year, the company’s executives gave some information regarding the construction during his visit.
With 5,700 square meters of usable area and 2,600 seats, the winter sports palace will have an Olympic-sized ice rink with a ratio of 60 x 30 meters.
Alongside having accessible roads and areas for people with disabilities, it will also be equipped with systems for ice rink refrigeration and ventilation that is currently widely used in North America and Europe. Moreover, the sports palace is being built with a structure that enables it to be used to organize other sports competitions as well as a concert venue.
