US Ambassador currently working in Uvs aimag

Uvs /MONTSAME/. On August 25, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Mongolia Michael S. Klecheski arrived in Uvs aimag to participate in the opening ceremony of the new kindergarten built in Baruunturuun soum with financing from the US.
At the start of the working visit, the Ambassador was received by the aimag authority to exchange views. Following the meeting, he visited the aimag’s emergency management department to present deep water rescue gear and equipment sent from the Civil Military Relations Department of the US Embassy. He also held a meeting with the emergency officials to discuss organizing a joint water rescue training exercise.
During his time in Ulaangom, he will also become acquainted with the American Culture and Information Center, the Museum of Uvs aimag as well as the ‘Uvs Foods’ factory, and hold a meeting with the local press.
