Culture Minister obliges officials to accelerate Chinggis Khaan Museum construction work

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The construction of the Chinggis Khaan Museum is currently underway, with some issues awaiting resolution regarding the museum’s interior and exterior as well as planning for interior plumbing alongside delays in the orders for materials to be imported. The matter was introduced to Minister of Culture S.Chuluun and Deputy Minister M.Batbayar during their visit to become acquainted with the construction progress on August 3.
Minister of Culture S.Chuluun said, “The museum’s construction work should be accelerated rather than halted due to the recent changes in the government’s organization. The ministry’s internal organization matters will not have an effect either. Those in charge of tasks should share information about their works between themselves and create correlation.” He then obliged corresponding officials to develop possible options based on studies to resolve the issues.
He also held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, Construction Development Center, Union of Mongolian Artists, Institute of Archeology at the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, and the National Center for Cultural Heritage. The experts came to the decision to develop a solution to the issues by including the suggestions received from the sector’s scholars and researchers and re-discuss the matter in the near future.
