Honored Lawyer Jantsan awarded the Great Cross of Merit of Germany

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Former Chairman and Member of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia, Honored Lawyer, Dr. Prof. N.Jantsan has become the first foreigner that awarded the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The prestigious award was awarded to him on July 17 by the decree issued by the Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in recognition for his outstanding contribution to the effective development of bilateral relations since the establishment of a democratic society in Mongolia and the implementation of amendments to the Constitution of Mongolia. The award was presented on behalf of the Federal President by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia Jörn Rosenberg. Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia N.Chinbat participated in the awarding ceremony and paid tribute.
N.Jantsan thanked for the awarding of the Great Cross of Merit, emphasizing
the significant cooperation of German lawyers and scholars in the legal reform
of Mongolia, as well as in the training and retraining of Mongolian lawyers.
The Federal President’s decree to award the Great Cross to N.Jantsan was issued in April. However, the awarding ceremony has been postponed due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
