Mongolian Sustainable Textile Coalition established

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Mongolian Sustainable Textile Coalition was established under the vision to become the leading country in supplying sustainable and high-quality wool and cashmere products internationally and promoting equitable profit sharing among all stakeholders.
The founders of the coalition are AVSF, STeP EcoLab project, Mongolian National Federation of Pasture User Groups, Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association, Sustainable Fiber Alliance and SDC, Green Gold project.
Within the Mongolian Sustainable Textile Coalition, its members aims to create opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, mutual learning, and joint action and to make the coalition a leader in supporting progress of replicating sustainable consumption and production in wool and cashmere supply chain. To support sustainability, coalition members will also work to promote the best practices identified within their coalition work scope and disseminate positive environmental and social impacts.
