Municipality to cooperate with Russian professionals to reduce traffic jam

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. “Making the Moscow’s complex system of
traffic movement control as a model, the numerous works are under plan, including
implementing ‘Unified system for traffic movement coordination and planning
system’ in Ulaanbaatar city,” said B.Otgonsukh, project coordinator in charge
of road and transport affairs of Ulaanbaatar city at the meeting of municipal
governor on March 5.
B. Otgonsukh reported on the results of his recent working
visit to Moscow with aims to get acquainted with the technological solution of
the control system of Moscow city’s public transport, traffic movement and
smart parking, and integrated information systems as well as to learn from experiences on the measures to reduce the burden of traffic movement.
“During the visit, a memorandum of understanding on
cooperation to formulate and implement assisting training program for
vocational education on traffic movement coordination and safety was signed
with L.L.Zimanov, Vice-Rector of Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State
Technical University. Moreover, views were exchanged on the issues of three directions
to reduce air pollution of Ulaanbaatar city. Specifically, Russian professionals
recommended upgrading traffic movement control system, improving cameras and developing
street and road network,” said B.Otgonsukh.
