Minister D.Tsogtbaatar takes part in 2020 Munich Security Conference

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia took part in the annual international Munich Security Conference in Munich, Germany


This year’s conference, held with a theme on westlessness in the World and changing international order, attracted 35 heads of states and foreign and defense ministers from over 100 countries. 


While attending in the opening event of the 56th conference, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia D.Tsogtbaatar held meetings with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Greece Nikos Dendias and Deputy Foreign Minister of Germany Niels Annen. 


Mongolia and Greece sign visa-free agreement 


Within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, the foreign ministers of Mongolia and Greece signed an intergovernmental agreement on ‘Visa Exemption Agreement for holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports and a Memorandum of Understanding between Mongolian Ministry of Environment and Tourism and Greek Ministry of Tourism on tourism cooperation. 


Mongolian and German law enforcement agencies to boost partnership 


Minister D.Tsogtbaatar also exchanged opinions with German Deputy Foreign Minister Niels Annen on issues concerning Northeast Asian security and cooperation. 


The sides also discussed about intensifying the cooperation between law enforcement organizations of Mongolia and Germany in combating cross-border crime, especially drug-related criminal activities involving Mongolian nationals.
