Education Minister receives students with great achievements in international olympiads
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Twelve students that successfully participated in
international olympiads this year in 2019 were received by Minister of
Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg.
Mongolian students won 1 gold, 2 silver, 7 bronze, and 2 certificates of
distinction from international olympiads. The Minister presented certificates
for their respective monetary rewards to the students and wished them to
further improve their achievements in the coming year. Deputy Minister
G.Ganbayar, and State Secretary B.Bayarsaikhan were also present during the
ceremony.
From the 60th International Mathematical Olympiad that took
place in Bath, United Kingdom, six students had great achievements, namely
M.Unubold, E.Erdenebileg, O.Misheel, B.Dolgormaa, B.Batmend, and A.Purevzaya
winning 1 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze, and certificate of distinction
respectively.
As for the 50th International Physics Olympiad held at Tel Aviv,
Israel, B.Itgel, B.Khongor, and B.Tsolmon successfully participated in the
olympiad, winning 2 bronze and 1 certificate of distinction.
Two students also had success at the 51st International Chemistry Olympiad in Paris, France, namely A.Ashid, and B.Arvin with bronze medals, while A.Nyamdavaa won the silver medal from the 31st International Olympiad in Informatics in Baku, Azerbaijan.
