Prime Minister visits UB city Mayor’s mobile office

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On the way back from the opening ceremony of a 20.9 km new road between Gachuurt and Nalaikh-Choir junction, Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh was invited to mobile office of Ulaanbaatar city Mayor S.Amarsaikhan and rode together to the State House in Ulaanbaatar downtown.


Accompanied by Minister of Road and Transport Development B.Enkh-Amgalan, the Prime Minister exchanged views with the capital city governor on timely matters, namely major infrastructure development in Ulaanbaatar and issues surrounding the refined coal during their trip.  


On another large-scale project in road and transport sector in Ulaanbaatar, Transport Minister B.Enkh-Amgalan reported that an extension and renovation project of auto road from Ulaanbaatar city to Darkhan city to a four-lane highway is underway and construction is now 60 percent complete with road surface pavement and other construction are left to be done. According to the minister, the construction of the road, which has been temporarily opened for drivers, will resume next spring. 


While talking about the refined coal, one of the solutions to eliminate air pollution in Ulaanbaatar city, and public awareness on the proper consumption of it in Ulaanbaatar city, the Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh emphasized that decrease of air pollution in the city has been noticed in recent times thanks to the use of quality coal and reminded to take effective actions to increase public knowledge about its use. 


The Premier also praised the Ulaanbaatar city mayor’s work bus designed as mobile office as an appropriate time-effective solution to settle issues and have productive work discussion while on the move.
