NEAR representatives visit Dornogobi

Secretary-General of the Association of North East Asia Regional Governments (NEAR)
Jong-kyoung Hong along with other officials visited Dornogobi aimag, one
of the 78 NEAR member regional governments, on March 19 20.
Governor of Dornogobi aimag T.Enkhtuvshin received the
delegation and gave information about the features and prosperity of, and investment
and construction works in the aimag. The Governor then requested the
association to provide capacity-building training for rural public servants and
to support establishment of cooperation between Dornogobi and provinces of
South Korea.
For his
part, Mr. Jong-kyoung Hong underlined that Dornogobi has been constantly taking
part in forums and other events organized by NEAR and pledged to study the
proposals.
During their visit, the delegates saw the Noyon Khutagt Danzanravjaa Museum, Khamar Monastery, Mt Khairkhan as well as construction of a wind farm and an oil factory, and got acquainted with Mongolian lifestyle, riding a camel.
