‘Thousand engineers’ science education TV series to be created

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ To train skillful engineers, the Government of Mongolia, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, the Japan International Cooperation Agency have been jointly implementing ‘A Higher Engineering Education Development Project’ since 2014. 


In the frames of the project, Director-General of Mongolian National Public Radio and Television (MNB) L.Ninjjamts, Project Coordinator D.Namsrai, President of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) B.Ochirbat and Acting President of the National University of Mongolia (NUM) Ya.Tumurbaatar established a cooperation agreement today. Aim of the agreement is to promote and report progress of the project and activities of 20 teams of joint research being jointly conducted at NUM and MUST.  


The sides agreed to prepare and broadcast 21 science education television series under name ‘1000 engineers’. 


In addition, Higher Engineering Education Development Project will run until 2024 and will train a thousand engineers in Japan. As of 2018, more than 400 instructors, students and scientists got involved in the programs including joint researches, Bachelor’s degree program and KOSEN program.
