Ambassador pays courtesy call on Speaker

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Ambassador of Mongolia to Canada Ya. Ariunbold paid a
courtesy call on the Honorable Geoff Regan, Speaker of the House of Commons,
Parliament of Canada on February 20.
Expressing gratitude to the
Speaker for receiving him, the Ambassador has underlined that The Honorable
Geoff Regan’s visit to Mongolia in 2016 served as an impetus to deepen the
relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Canada including
inter-parliamentary ties and has highlighted the Canada’s international
development assistance to Mongolia, being an important contribution in
strengthening Mongolia’s mining, education, agriculture, public service
sectors.
Besides the abovementioned
sectors, the Ambassador expressed his eagerness to work towards expanding
cooperation in sectors including trade and investment, science, culture and
sports exchanges, the agenda of which was welcomed by the Speaker and expressed
his will to provide support.
Stressing his memorable visit
to Mongolia, the Speaker vowed Canada’s continued support to Mongolia, a third
neighbor, for prosperity, democratic achievements and for expanding further the
Mongolia-Canada inter-parliamentary tie.
