PM receives UNFPA Mongolia Country Representative

Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh received Mrs Naomi Kitahara, UNFPA Mongolia Country Representative.

 

Beginning the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized her valuable contribution in broadening and developing cooperation between the Government of Mongolia and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), serving as a Country Representative for six years. 

 

Projects and programs run by UNFPA are supporting development of population, protecting the rights of women, girls and youths and improving their health, the PM added.

 

UNFPA Country Representative Mrs Naomi Kitahara stressed that the Government of Mongolia is gaining success in directions of ensuring gender equality, empowering women and younger generation as well as improving quality and access to health care services. She expressed her belief that the Mongolian Government would closely cooperate with UNPFA further.
