Mammoth tusk found from gold mine in Dornod aimag

Dornod /MONTSAME/ Mammoth tusks were found by P.Odbayar, an employee of a gold mine in Bayandun soum of Dornod aimag on June 27. He handed over it to the Institute of Paleontology and Geology on August 3.
The findings are one big tusk in size of 1m 20 cm and 30 cm long two small tusks. Specialists suggest that the tusks might be from mammoth dates back to 15-35 thousand years ago.
