International College of Surgeons opens in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A team led by Guan Wei Liu, Head of Asian Association of the International College of Surgeons visited Mongolia on June 21-25.
During the visit, the delegates attended a constituent meeting of International College of Surgeons Mongolian section and got familiarized with activities of some hospitals, making steps towards bilateral cooperation. Mr.Guan Wei Liu said he believes that the Mongolian section would strengthen Mongolia-Taiwan cooperation in surgical sector in future.
Mongolia and Taiwan have long-time cooperation in medical sphere, mainly by involving medical specialists in training and donating hospital equipment and medicines. Besides, deployment of a crew of voluntary doctors in Mongolia every year helps strengthening Mongolians' trust in Taiwan’s treatment quality, noted Mr. Huan Kuo Jung, head of the Representative Office of Taiwan in Mongolia.
