'Ulaanbaatar Dialogue' conference approved to be an institution

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Fifth Ulaanbaatar Dialogue on Northeast Asian Security international conference, where the issues regarding strengthening regional peace, security and sustainability were discussed, was held for two days and ended today.
Topics of the conference were necessities and opportunities of strengthening and developing the process on the Korean Peninsula in the current pleasant atmosphere, further in the fields of society, culture and humanity.

“This year’s conference was special as it was held in a turning point in the solution of the issue that has been threatening security of Northeast Asia for many years. The key result of the conference is that the participants widely discussed and agreed the proposal to expand "Ulaanbaatar Dialogue" to an institiution with permanent activities, making it a platform for exchanging views on security issues in Northeast Asia. The representatives of some countries, including Japan put the proposal considering that the conference can be developed in a way of
the Helsinki conference in 40 years ago, which laid the foundation of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe,” noted D.Munkh-Ochir, senior researcher at the Institute of Strategic Studies.
