Heads of Parliamentary Groups meet delegates of India and Thailand

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 12, Head of Mongolia-Indian Parliamentary Group, MP B.Undarmaa met Indian delegates headed by Member of Indian Parliament B.N.Goud.
During the meeting, the parties touched bilateral collaboration in fields of education, health, software, science, mining and agriculture using wide range of opportunities, training Mongolian doctors and medical workers in India as well as intensifying and strengthening tourism and people-to-people relations. They also highlighted an importance of broadening inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The same day, Head of Mongolia-Thailand Inter-Parliamentary Group, MP Kh.Bolorchuluun met Member of Parliament of Thailand and Secretary-General of the Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development Dr. Jetn Sirathranont.
Mongolia-Thailand relations especially economic ties have not reached a satisfactory level. A sum of export and import of the two countries is just USD 50 million a year. Mongolia will gladly encourage investment from Thailand, the country which have developed foreign investment, especially tourism at high level, MP Kh.Bolorchuluun said.
Mr. Jetn Sirathranont appreciated Mongolia’s policy to encourage foreign investors and said Thailand recieves 35 million tourists a year and most of them are Chinese people. It is important to have direct flight between the capital cities of the two countries to bring Mongolia-Thailand relations closer and to develop it.
