Slight temperature drop expected on May 15-16

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ According to the weather forecast from May 15 to May 19 issued by the National Agency of Meteorology and Environment Monitoring (NAMEM), the temperature will slightly drop in the northern part of the country on May 15 and in eastern half of the country on May 16.
Rain and precipitation are expected in northern parts of central and eastern aimags on May 15, in mountainous areas of Khangai and Khuvsgul on May 16, and in western parts of western aimags on May 18.
Wind will get stronger in areas of central, gobi and eastern aimags on May 15 and in areas of westerm aimags on May 18, temporarily reaching 18-20m/sec and in some areas of the country on May 16-17, reaching 12-14m/sec.
In the depression of Darkhad, in the head of Zavkhan river and Khuren belchir, in mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, Khuvsgul and Khentii, and in the basins of Ider and Tes rivers, the nighttime temperature will be 0 to +5 degrees Celsius, the daily highs will be between +17 and +22 degrees Celsius.
In southern parts of gobi region, the nighttime temperature will reach +17 degrees Celsius whereas the daytime temperature will peak at +33 degrees Celsius.
In other areas, the nighttime temperature will be +5 to +10 degrees Celsius and the daily highs will hit +27 degrees Celsuis.
