Minister D.Tsogtbaatar meets NGO representatives from US

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Foreign Affairs Minister D.Tsogtbaatar met with representatives from the Peace Corps, the Asia Foundation, the International Republican Institute, the American Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia, ‘World Learning’ and Mercy Corps on May 11 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Present at the meeting was Charge d’Affaires of US Embassy in Mongolia.
At the meeting, corresponding organizations presented ongoing works in Mongolia and further actions. Minister D.Tsogtbaatar pointed out that ties between the two countries must not be limited only by intergovernmental cooperation and have to have wide range of relations such as people-to people and humanitarian relationships. These organizations made special contributions to enriching and strengthening ties between Mongolia and the United States and to socio-economic development of Mongolia, noted the Minister while expressing his gratitude to them.
The sides exchanged views on issues including backing volunteers’ activities in Mongolia, continuing ‘Lead Mongolia’ program, expanding cooperation between private sectors of the two countries, implementation of a project to support beef export of Mongolia and other relationship matters and they agreed the two countries have wide and new cooperation opportunities.
