 Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on May 2, the Cabinet made the following decisions.
-It was decided to select a legal entity, which will provide international consulting service to the project on construction of new wastewater treatment plant. The consulting company will bear duties to provide all-round professional advices on environment, techniques, society and finance, validate the Feasibility Study and select technology and equipment.
-Energy Minister Ts.Davaasuren reported about present progress of the project on construction of 700MW power plant in Baganuur district and further actions. After hearing the report, the Minister was obliged to re-check its operational mode and estimations of electricity to be distributed to the central grid. He was assigned to negotiate with relevant body if necessary.
-  ‘General Aviation Development Program’ was approved. The government believes the program implementation will create legal coordination of the sector and favorable condition to engage business. Participation and investment of private sector and individuals will increase in the aviation sector as well. It will improve sufficiency of air transportation and promote the development of tourism, conservation, agriculture, emergency medical services and well as others.
-  The Cabinet approved ‘Regulation on border crossing of valuable historical and cultural memorial items’ and ‘Regulation on temporary storage, collection, transportation, recycling, destruction, registration and reporting of hazardous wastes’
-  An intergovernmental agreement between Mongolia and the Russian Federation on supporting regional and frontier cooperation was endorsed. The agreement reflected to develop cooperation in all sectors, in particular to create a favorable condition to boost trade and economic cooperation, and collaborate in the fields of energy, communications, tourism, education, conservation, construction, forestry and agricultural productions.
-  The Cabinet approved the Intergovernmental Agreement between Mongolia and the Swiss Confederation on exempting diplomatic and service passport holders from visa requirements.
 -  The Cabinet approved the Intergovernmental Agreement between Mongolia and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay on exempting diplomatic, service and ordinary passport holders from visa requirements. The agreement will enable citizens of the two countries to be not required to get a visa for a period not exceeding 30 days from the date of entry into the territory of the two countries.
