Intergovernmental agreement signed with Hong Kong

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ An intergovernmental agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters was signed on March 26 between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.
The intergovernmental agreement was signed by S.Erdene, Mongolia’s Consul General to Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and by John Lee, Secretary for Security of Hong Kong, at the Security Bureau of Hong Kong.
As the agreement comes into force, it creates a legal environment which will enable prompt cooperation of law enforcement organizations in matters of criminal investigation, judicial proceedings and prosecution.
