The first meeting of Mongolia-China humanitarian exchange council held in Beijing

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ The first meeting of Mongolia-China joint council for humanitarian exchanges took place on January 25 in Beijing, China.  

The first meeting, chaired by D.Davaasuren, State Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Mongolia, and by Kong Xuanyou, Vice Foreign Minister of China, brought together over 40 representatives from ministries, news agencies, youth federations, radio and televisions of the two countries.

The sides exchanged opinions on cooperation in nine humanitarian sectors such as culture, health, media, physical culture, sports, tourism, exchanges of youth and others, and reached an agreement to implement 44 projects and measures in total. In the end, the sides established a protocol on the matters agreed mutually.

The meeting was a measure conducted in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding between the Governments of Mongolia and China on establishing Mongolia-China joint council for humanitarian exchanges, established in May, 2017. The second meeting of the council will run in Ulaanbaatar in 2019.
