Mongolia selected to nominate candidates for US military academies

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Mongolia has been selected by the U.S. Departments of Defense and State to nominate candidates to compete for admission the United States Military Academy, the United States Naval Academy, and for the first time to the United States Air Force Academy classes of 2022, which enter in July 2018.  

Mongolian candidates who can meet requirements of age, marital status, general academic qualification, standard academic qualification, test of English as a Foreign Language, leadership, physical aptitude and medical fitness are eligible to apply. Interested applicants should email to USDAOMONGOLIA@state.gov by 5 January 2018. 

By 29 January 2018, The Defense Attaché Office will select the top six candidates who will then apply directly to the academies.  Candidates are competing against international students across the world for approximately 15 slots per school.
