Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During its meeting on December 6, the Cabinet made a decision to exempt 12 types of fodder and grass imported to Mongolia from customs and value-added tax during the time period between December 4, 2017 and June 30, 2018.

The list of tax exempt grass and fodder includes pelleted and mashed fodder, bone dust, remains of fermentation in winemaking and beer brewing, pelleted and unpelleted bran from processing of grain and leguminous plants, sawdust, compressed soy and other domestic animal fodder with exceptions of fodder grass, rye, barley, oat, corn and medick.

Although Mongolia stores 1.2-1.4 million tons of hay annually, around 930 thousand tons were prepared this year due to drought in summer.
