New transformer to be installed before winter load

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the Cabinet meeting held on September 13, Acting Minister of Energy P.Gankhuu reported about a situation of a transformer at the 4th Thermal Power Plant that which caught fire.
In conjunction with it, the related Acting Ministers were ordered to determine the cause of fire and install a new transformer before the heavy winter load. The fire was successfully extinguished before spread and the electric distribution was not stopped temporarily.
The Russian-made transformer was manufactured in 1984 and it has consecutively worked for 31 years and nine months.
