‘Gobi Wolf 2017’ international exercise training concludes

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A closing ceremony of the ‘Gobi Wolf’ international exercise was successfully held in Umnugobi aimag, on May 5. The field training was co-organized by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), US Embassy in Ulaanbaatar and U.S. Army Pacific for the sixth time on May 01-05 with an aim to improve the regional readiness in response to natural disaster.
During the closing ceremony, speeches were delivered by G.Ariunbuyan, Deputy Chief of Mongolia's National Emergency Management Agency, Major General Roger Noble, Deputy Commander of the US Army Pacific and N.Naranbaatar, Governor of Umnugobi aimag.

The sixth ‘Gobi Wolf’ international exercise training was attended by over 240 guests and representatives of public and non-governmental organizations and military units and emergency management offices of Mongolia, namely, National Emergency Management Agency, General Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces, General Authority for Border Protection, General Police Department, General Agency for Specialized and Inspection, Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia and so on.
Moreover, representing foreign and international organizations, US Pacific Command, Alaska Army National Guard, US Forest Service, International Assistance Group, UN system of organizations, Save the Children Japan, Mongolian Red Cross Society, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Mercy Corps, International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement as well as delegates from Bangladesh, Nepal, Canada, the Republic of Korea, Hungary and Japan attended the training.
During the closing event, certificates were handed over to the participants of the ‘Gobi Wolf-2017’ international field training exercise.
