Celebrated Polish director to arrive in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A famous Polish film and theatre director, producer and screenwriter Krzysztof Zanussi is coming to Mongolia for the first time to attend a film festival which will take place on May 8-11 at the “iCinema” of Ulaanbaatar. The event will be held named after Krzysztof Zanussi and he will organize a special training for filmmakers.
Krzysztof Zanussi is 78 years old and is one of the most renowned film directors and producers of Poland. He was awarded from international major film festivals in Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Moscow, Montreal, Toronto and Chicago. He has directed 11 television films, 27 movies and a same number of operas and dramas since his debut of 'The Structure of Crystals' in 1969. His books were published in more than 10 countries and he worked as a director of operas and dramas at the theatres of Milan, Rome, Palermo, Bonn, Moscow and Bremen.
Krzysztof Zanussi is a Board Member of the European Film Academy.
