National program on gender equality approved

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During its regular meeting held yesterday on April 26, the Cabinet ordered Minister of Labor and Social Protection Ts.Nomtoibayar to approve a plan of implementation of a program to promote gender equality and to provide professional management and technical direction and to monitor the implementation in cooperation with private and public entities.
In order to implement the program, the required budget will be reflected in the general guidelines and state budget, as well as in international loans and assistances.
The program, which will be realized in 2017-2021, is aiming to create gender-sensitive policy and planning, remove the public's common gender stereotype, provide regulations for the implementation and preserve gender equality in society, culture, household, economy and politics.
